Children’s Car Safety Caravan: A Core Initiative of the Children Car Safety Foundation

The Children’s Car Safety Caravan is one of the flagship projects organized by the Children Car Safety Foundation.

Launched in 2019, the caravan’s first edition took place in Iași. By 2024, the initiative has expanded to over 80 editions, reaching county capitals, smaller towns, rural areas, and even crossing the Prut River twice into the Republic of Moldova.

Here are the main activities hosted during a Children’s Car Safety Caravan:

  • Raising awareness about risky behaviors in traffic: including driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, driving while fatigued, not using seat belts, and failing to use special car seats for children.
  • Child car seat checks and installations: offering testing, installation, and verification of child car seats.
  • Children Car Safety courses: tailored for parents and expectant parents to ensure the safety of their children during car travel.
  • First Aid courses: equipping parents with vital skills for emergencies.

All activities within the Children’s Car Safety Caravan are offered free of charge.

Participation in these activities is based on appointments made through the Children Car Safety website.
